I was born and raised in the tranquil Midwest metropolis of Kansas City, MO, spending the majority of my childhood chasing dreams of athletic grandeur on the tennis court, baseball diamond, football field, and basketball court. While attending Rockhurst High School, I fell in love with running - gaining a deep respect for the sport's people, challenges, and lifestyle. After graduating, I moved west 45 miles to the gorgeous University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!), where I studied Mathematics and Physics. It was there among the Kaw and Wakarusa River's rolling bluffs that I began exploring the photographic medium.

However, despite my deep affection for KU and Lawrence, I needed to follow a passion which had been growing within me for a decade and a half: I needed to pursue "The Dream" in Colorado. Twelve hours after commencement finished, I was cruising west down Interstate 70, celebrating four incredible years and the realization of a dream.

I spent the Summer and Fall of 2007 and 2008 nestled among the foothills of Rocky Mountain National Park at Cheley Colorado Camps, working as a counselor and photographer for the camp's general sessions and outdoor education program.

The changing of the seasons carries me south to Keystone, CO, where I work as an instructor for the Resort's Ski and Ride School. While Colorado Winters are cold and snowy, the opportunity to combine my love for teaching and snowboarding is simply incredible. Of course, my cameras are never far from hand as I explore the high-country under Winter's white blanket.
